We first noticed the cropped jacket in late summer when Charlize Theron, left, wore it to a a Pasadena soccer match benefiting the Africa Outreach Project. Suddenly her simple jersey dress had flair, style, and layers to make it interesting.
Kristen Bell, center, followed in the fall with her SMYTHE cropped jacket layered over a flirty purple blouse with skinny jeans. Most recently we saw Kate Walsh in a cropped jacket by Stella McCartney paired with a printed blouse and skinny jeans.
Given that we're already a huge fan of chic layering we totally love this look. Worn as Charlize does over a dress, or as an structured piece over a ruffled or printed blouse with skinny jeans as Kristen and Kate wore it, the cropped jacket is a great transition piece from winter to spring.
