Red carpet: Costume Institute Gala

The Costume Institute's American Woman gala at the Met provided great eye candy for fashion lovers everywhere. Monday night's red carpet had no shortage of fashion-forward and elegant gowns.

Anne Hathaway, in Valentino, and Jennifer Lopez, in Zuhair Murad, went for all out glamour in shimmery ballgowns with a wow factor.

Fashion-Forward

As usual with the Met Gala, the red carpet brought out plenty of avant-garde and fashion- forward looks. Blake Lively, in Marchesa, Chloe Sevingy, in a dress she designed with Proenza Schouler's Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez, Elizabeth Banks, in Gucci, and Gisele Bundchen, in Alexander Wang made statements by pairing their fashion-forward detailed frocks with statement making shoes and accessories.

We loved looking at all the looks both glam and fashion-forward, but want to know what you think. So tell us: What do you think of the fashion-forward looks? What was your favorite look?
