A scarf for infinity and beyond

Infinity scarves seem to be the accessory of the moment. I love the look, but I'm not really into scarves that have excessive decoration on them. So unadorned infinity scarves are on my shopping list for winter. Especially with something that's constantly going to be around my neck, I just want to keep it simple. There are many options and the look of a cowl that can be tossed over a tee or plain crewneck cashmere sweater are oh so appealing. Infinity scarves come in many lengths and fabrics. My favorites are the soft jersey and cashmere styles. With the swathe of fabric flowing around my neck, it's best not to have anything with a scratchy texture. Cashmere offers warmth and the cotton jersey tee fabric are as soft as buttah!

Donna Karan's long and flowing infinity scarf has a generous cowl and adds a sense of drama with it's oversized flowing design. ($695 at Saks). At an affordable price that won't break your winter shopping budget - the neon lime green chunky can be worn around the neck and pulled overhead as a hood. ($29 at Spiegel). Lastly, Splendid's Foil Heather Rugby-Stripe Cotton Infinity Scarf adds a sport touch to a basic tee. ($54 at Bloomingdales)
