NMV18HC_mx.jpgQ. I was flipping through some old magazines, when I came across a picture of Emma Stone carrying the Michael Kors Silverton Traveler Tote (right). I am obsessed, but of course it is no longer available ANYWHERE! Can you help me find it or a super ridiculously closely similar bag? I love the rectangular structured-but-not-too-structured shape and the perfect-for-over-the-shoulder-or-carrying-by-hand length handles. The simplicity of the bag, with little embellishment, is kind of completely my style.

A. Ooh, we love a challenge! Here are 9 bags in a variety of colors and price points that will hopefully fit the bill for you. Good luck!

Q. I have an old Prada bag that is covered in pyramid studs and I haven’t used it in years. I’m wondering if studs are considered in style so I can wear it again?

A. It’s true that studs seem to come in and out of favor, but rest assured, studs are back! The proof is in the abundance of studded items available in stores and online right now. Here are some of our favorites:

Q. I’m looking for a new work tote to carry some paperwork, my iPad and sometimes, a laptop. My current bag is plain black and pretty boring, I’m looking for something with a bit more style to it that I can carry every day to the office.

A. Your work tote is not only a functional necessity, it also contributes to your overall professional appearance, where oftentimes, making a good first impression is important. Take the opportunity to express some personal style with your tote, rather than settling for something basic and overly corporate. It’s worth it to spend a little extra on a bag that not only looks luxe and stylish, but will stand up to heavy daily use. Opt for something in a bright color or a chic animal print. Here are some totes we’re loving right now:

Q. Now that it’s freezing out, I’m wearing my gloves every day and hate having to take them off to use my iPhone. Can you recommend some gloves that work with my iPhone?

A. You’re in luck! Touchscreen or Tech gloves are practically everywhere right now and available in all price ranges. Here are some options that are cute and functional.

Q. I would like to build a collection of handbags that are classic (so that they can be used for a few years) but are still fashionable and that can fit every occasion (everyday, date, special occasion, etc.). What is the range of bags you think every woman should own and can you please suggest a new handbag that I should buy for 2013? Thanks!

A. Absolutely! Below are five different bags that every woman should own, along with suggestions for a range of budgets that can be worn for years to come.

1. All-purpose tote

Every woman needs a workhorse bag; one that is functional and large enough to hold important papers, some magazines, books, iPad, etc., and chic enough to wear to work. Look for one in a neutral monochromatic color that works with almost everything in your wardrobe.

2. Satchel

A satchel has a bit more structure than a tote and easily goes from desk to dinner to Sunday brunch. Look for one in a rich neutral color like red or oxblood, or with interesting accents like animal prints, hardware or colorblocking.

3. Casual cross-body

Cross-body bags are perfect for shopping, site-seeing or any time you need the convenience of a hands-free bag. Look for a mid-size style that holds all your essentials.

4. Clutch

A chic clutch is perfect for date night or dinner with girlfriends.

5. Special occasion bag

A dressy party clutch in black or a wear-with-everything metallic is ideal to have on hand for special occasions.
