Q. I am a 25 year old mom of two under two. I love everything about fashion but with two I find I don’t have as much time. After having two kids and turning 25 I feel I need a change and a more age appropriate wardrobe and something other then the classic mommy wardrobe of tees and sweats. I am a stay-at-home mom but would like to look fashionable and attractive. I am 5’4, small framed and a larger chest. Please help me feel attractive while being a stay at home mom.

Q. I just discovered your website and am loving it! Do you have any ideas for a daily “uniform” for us moms with little ones in tow? I usually stick to a solid color polo or t-shirt with shorts or jeans. It’s safe and easy….but boring. Can you recommend something well made but not expensive…tailored to those of us who are curvy (nursing and sporting a little leftover baby tummy?)

A. Good for you both for wanting something more stylish than tees, sweats and “mom” clothes. A daily “uniform” that is stylish, comfortable, quick to throw on and washable will make it easy to get dressed each day and prepare you for whatever is in store.

A layered look consisting of a cardigan, wrap sweater or jacket + t-shirt, tank or camisole + jeans, cords or capris with stretch is versatile and flatters a multitude of figures. Fill your closet with variations on this theme and you’ll have the ultimate mix-and-match wardrobe. Top it off with comfortable ballet flats and a chic diaper bag and you’re good to go.

A. Cute jeans! To show off the sailor-inspired details, your best bet is a tucked in shirt. Given the volume of the jeans, your tucked in shirt should be slim fitting. A tank or a tee is a good option, and so is a fitted button down. Or, take a page from Katie Holmes’ style book (below) and wear a tee and a relaxed cardigan. If you’re willing to cover up the details at the waist, a slim belted top is a chic option.

Q. I will be attending college this upcoming fall and I expect my time to be filled with long hours at the library and coffee shops near by. Since I am just entering college, my spending limits are minimal but I still would like to keep my appearance stylish yet still comfy. Suggestions?

A. Comfortable, simple, affordable basics that mix and match easily and layer well should form the core of your college wardrobe. Start with a few pairs of jeans and long sleeve tees, then add in fitted blazers, boyfriend cardigans and chunky knit sweaters. Purchase a versatile coat and an edgy and trendy leather moto jacket as well as a roomy tote bag and handbag. Finally, add in some comfortable shoes you can walk in: cool trainers, ballet flats and a great pair of riding boots.

Q. I will be attending a work-related convention in Houston in August, so it will be hot and humid. I need suggestions on what to wear. I do have a navy/white patterned jersey wrap dress that I’ve never worn and would like to take with me. What shoes would look best with it?

A. You’re on the right track: your navy and white jersey wrap dress is an excellent choice. Not only will it pack well (no wrinkles) but it is a simple, chic, weather-appropriate choice that will take you through the day’s events and even out to dinner. Your shoes should be chic, yet comfortable. Look for a 1.5 to 2.5” heel in black, gray or natural - neutral tones that will likely match some of the other clothes you plan to pack. Here are some shoe options, as well as a few dresses:

A. Of course, you can always pair your orange bottoms with neutrals like white, off-white and navy, but this summer, we’re all about mixing up colors. Try wearing your orange capris with other citrus shades like lemon and lime. Or try one of these colorful printed tops below:

As for shoes, metallic gold looks great with orange, as does brown, navy and of course tan/neutrals.
