Father’s Day is next month, but instead of buying Dad the same old generic gifts (does he really need another tie from the department store?), pick something special and handmade from Etsy. We scoured the site and found some cool things your dad will love!

Box of Tricks ($80) - this cool vintage box is stuffed with fun puzzles, many complete with instructions. For the dad who likes to play games, this is the perfect gift!

Banana iPhone Cozy ($25) - for the dad who loves his iPhone, make him laugh with this goofy banana case.

Sterling silver guitar pick ($25) - any musically inclined dad would love a personalized guitar pick! Bonus points for adding a cheesy engraving, like “Rock on Dad! Love, _____.”

Hand Painted Hungry Bear Side Plate ($25) - this plate will bring a smile to dad’s face, especially if he loves to eat!

Men’s Shaving Soap and Stand ($10) - for the well-groomed dad, order up this vegan soap formulated for smooth shaving on sensitive skin. There are several scents to choose from, and the soap comes with a chrome stand that promotes quick drying.
Allura Marie designer Jodanna Cook creates fine jewelry from quality materials like sterling silver, semi-precious gemstones, Venetian glass, and Swarovski crystals. Her mission is to create wearable pieces that are bold and unique. Here are some of our favorite items from her online store:

Jet Cartesian Earrings - $25

Berry Torte Necklace - $40

Golden Topaz & Silver Shade Swarofski Crystal & Sterling Silver Bracelet - $58

Annapolis-based handbag designer Ellen Allen’s collection mixes preppy and chic, and the result is pieces that are perfect for weekends spent on Nantucket or in the Hamptons. The Eastport tote (named after the prime location for boating in Annapolis) retails for $250 at You can also pick out a stylish scarf (we suggest the Boxwood, $70) to tie to the handle of your bag! Now all you need is a little white dress and retro-inspired sunglasses to complete the look.

Vintage Havana provides chic looks at affordable price points, and their summer 2010 collection makes us long for lazy warm days hanging out by the pool. Here are some looks available now:

so thumb.pngWe were first introduced to designer Sofie Ølgaard in October, and we fell in love with her beautiful dresses and tops inspired by her Scandinavian roots. Her fall 2010 collection stays true to her feminine aesthetic and neutral color palette, but with a little more sophistication. Cinched waists, wide necklines, and ruffled details define this collection. Here are some photos from the fall look book.
