Miansai creative director Michael Saiger was raised in New York, but his collection is inspired by his childhood memories of beaches in New England and his mother’s antique shop. Now based in Miami, Saiger houses his studio in a former smokehouse in midtown near the historic Florida East Coast Railway. Now dubbed as a re-emerging neighborhood, the “design district,” the area is the perfect spot for Miansai to expand while staying true to its vintage Americana-inspired roots.

We love Miansai’s bracelets, made from leather, rope, and metals. The above “Brail” bracelets are $78 at miansai.com.

vintage-cat-eye-sunglasses-april2012.jpg

We’re hoping sunny weather is finally here to stay, which means it’s time for a new pair of fabulous sunglasses. Retro-inspired cat eyes are a huge trend this spring, but we thought we’d go straight to the vintage source (Etsy) and find a really cool pair. This pair features a funky geometric design with silver glitter on white plastic frames. So chic!
