New York-based line With&Wessel (pronounced “Vitt” and “Vessel”) was originally established in Norway in 1903, and was recently re-launched by Catherine Wessel and her husband, Stian Tolnaes. Inspired by the Norwegian tradition of wearing layers of wool, they created an eco-friendly line of casual fashion basics based around the natural, biodegradable fabric. Wool easily adapts to different temperatures and climates and absorbs moisture from the body, keeping the wearer cool in the summer and warm in the winter - essential for this up-and-down weather we’re having on the east coast right now! The collection is available at

But wearing fun colors doesn’t have to be reserved for the weekends - there are conservative but chic options that will satisfy your appetite for brights. We love this pleated silk chiffon skirt by Heidi Merrick. The orange-y “sunset” color is right on trend, and the length makes it perfect for the workday. We also love the small, fashion forward details like an exposed back zipper and patch hip pockets.

Toronto designer Corrine Anestopoulos draws inspiration for her handmade jewelry line, Biko, from priceless heirlooms and memories of the past. Mixing vintage beads and materials with modern details and stones, she creates versatile pieces that tell a story from history. Her friendship bracelets, which are a modernized take on the classic childhood memory, are one of her most sought after pieces.

Shown, from left to right: Biko Mirim Necklace, $118; Iris Necklace, $102; and Modern Friendship Bracelet, $85.

It’s always the smallest details that pull your outfit together, like a subtle but chic pair of stud earrings. These patina metal pyramid studs have a rusted, aged look to them that gives off an antique vibe. Choose from a classic grey or two on-trend colors for spring, or snag all three since each pair is only $12.

Bright blue is such an eye-catching color - it can make your entire look with one small piece. Like, for example, this statement cuff by Samanca Jewelry. Mixing lapis stone with silver, the bracelet is perfect for dressing up a basic tank top.
