Founded last year by Karen Mulligan and Vogue editor Jillian Demling, Pret-a-surf is a line of swimwear that meets all of the modern woman’s needs - fit, fashion, and function. The Pret-a-surf wearer is the woman who lies on the beach in a sensuous bikini all day and then rocks a couture gown at night. The swimwear line keeps her looking fabulous whether lying poolside or competing in the waves! Here are some of our favorite looks from the summer 2011 collection, available online at Shopbop and at several other stores

The way the gold chain contrasts with the embroidered cotton pendant is what makes this necklace really cool. The bright pops of red make it the perfect accessory to dress up a neutral tee on casual days.

Neon is still all the rage this summer, and we can’t wait to wear it everywhere from the beach to nights out in the city this season. The Grasshopper neon green leather bag by Meredith Wendell for Of a Kind is bound to stand out and turn some heads, but it is also practical. It fits all your everyday items and has a snap-close exterior pocket and removable shoulder straps. The price tag is high at $435, but there were only 10 styles created. That means you won’t see yourself coming and going all the time!greenneonbagthumb.jpg

item-79521-4c76b19126999-m.jpgThis necklace is very bold and eye-catching, but versatile at the same time. It’s dressy enough for the evening but classic enough to pair down with a basic tee and jeans in the day. The piece is by AHJewelry and made from mesh chain used to create vintage jewelry during the early 20th century. The look is modernized with cool, twisted knots.
