Last week I introduced you to the new AccuFit™ Digital Measurement System at LensCrafters which helps narrow your glasses frame choice, find the right lens, and fit the lens with 5x more precise measurements than traditional methods. This week, I had the chance to try it out first hand and it was hands down the best experience I’ve had shopping for new eyeglasses.

My visit started with a thorough eye exam with the store optometrist. With my updated prescription in hand, I began shopping for new eyeglasses and sunglasses. It had been a few years since I bought a new pair of glasses, so I was more than ready for an updated look. The sales associate was incredibly helpful at narrowing down choices that fit my personal style and flattered my face. Once I had my options narrowed down, the fun began.

We sat down at one of the AccuFit Digital Measurement System stations where digital photos were taken of me trying on glasses. Four images were placed side by side on the VirtualMirror screen so I could get a more objective comparison of how the different glasses looked on my face. It’s a great way to really see which pair looks best — far better than looking in a mirror or relying on a friend’s or salesperson’s opinion.

After selecting my favorite frames (Prada eyeglasses and Coach sunglasses), I was immediately fit for my new prescription. The Digital Measurement System was used to pinpoint the relationship between my eyes, face and frame to more accurately place my prescription in my lenses. Final selections on the types of frames I preferred were made (polarized lenses for the sunglasses and anti-reflective lenses for my eyeglasses) and incredibly, my new glasses were ready for me in an hour!

Not only was I completely thrilled with the experience, but I love my new glasses! It’s amazing how a new pair of frames can update your look so completely. In a couple of years, when I’m ready for another change, you can bet I’ll return to LensCrafters.

Inspiration can come from the most surprising places, but great design is great design. In the case of the new Chevy Malibu, its sleek, chic, curvy design is enhanced by elegant details — qualities we often look for in fashion.

A bodycon dress with a modern, aerodynamic take on the peplum is a chic way to show off curves. Add brilliant patent pumps that gleam like the beautiful Chevy Malibu for a look that’s sure to turn heads. A sleek moto jacket is updated in navy polished leather for fall, while an oversized crystal cocktail ring shines as brilliantly as Malibu’s projector beam headlamps.

The chrome surround grille must certainly have been the inspiration for these honeycomb earrings and the leather bow belt seems remarkably reminiscent of the Chevrolet logo. Luxe leather interiors feel just as delicious as this colorblocked wallet and an icy blue pendant is as brilliant a finishing touch as Malibu’s ice-blue ambiant lighting. Chrome-tipped nails serve as an unforgettable beauty look while rich red lips are one of this season’s top trends.

Is it any surprise that the Chevy Malibu is catching the attention of the most stylish people? Check out more of our Maiibu inspiration on Pinterest and get a little inspired yourself.
