One A Shawl Sweater

One A Shawl SweaterThe devil is in the details, as this cozy topper quite clearly proves. Without its front horn closure, shawl collar, fabric buttons and softly rounded hem, it would be just another marled sweater - but thanks to all of those elements, it lets you achieve effortless chic in a matter of seconds. Throw it on with jeans and boots, or try it with brown pants for a cool, polished look. Also in black.

Last night, CBS.com livestreamed Fashion’s Night Out: The Show which featured looks from designers across New York City who will be participating in Fashion’s Night Out. When an event is masterminded by Vogue editor Anna Wintour, you know there is some high-priced fashion coming down the runway. But Fashion’s Night Out isn’t just for luxury shoppers (or New Yorkers - look for your nearest event!). We’ve gathered up some of the most affordable picks from the show which can be seen here or on CBS September 14 at 10 p.m.

If the weather where you’re at is anything like it is in San Francisco (you should be so lucky!), then Fall is the queen of unpredictability. That is, except for the inevitable pre-winter chill, September winds, and oncoming onslaught of rain, of course! While we may not be able to be completely prepared for what any given day has in store, one fall weather staple that will nearly always be useful is an on-trend jacket that’s warm but still season appropriate. In other words, save the winter coats for when you’ll really need them!

I’m personally loving wool biker jackets — this fall’s answer to the leather version everyone’s been rocking all year long. I love how the look is part cozy, part edgy, the perfect mix between practical and trendy. This Isabel Marant jacket epitomizes the trend with its epaulet details and asymmetrical zipper, but for $1,005, I’d have to wear it everyday to justify the splurge! For other style options, this Armand Basi Biker Jacket also utilizes the over-sized trend in a way that’s comfy-chic but still fashion-forward, but if you’re looking for something a little more subtle and streamlined, try this Eileen Fisher Biker Jacket on for size.
