The strapless dress is one of summer’s strongest trends. It’s a perfectly pretty way to keep cool this summer and still maintain a stunning sense of style. The strapless mini dress is not just for formal occasions anymore. The strapless frock now comes in many fabrics and designs suitable for office dressing when shrouded in a coordinating cardigan or blazer. Toss off the jacket and add some colorful accessories and you’re set for a summer evening on the town. One of our favorite looks for strapless summer dresses is bright and bold. Besides bright colors will heighten the glowing effect of your fresh from the weekend (ahem, newly applied self tanner) tan. 

We are loving these styles that are total stunners and look great with towering espadrille wedges as they do with a pair of flip-flops.  The Thread silk twill dress is whimsical design layering brightly colored scalloped silk off set by a bright yellow bow. Coral looks especially pretty on a tan. This is the perfect frock for an après beach alfresco dinner. Tibi’s daring ethnic inspired prints offset a bold primary palette and are enhanced by a black contrast waistband. Donna Morgan’s circle dress oozes retro glamour in the shade of our favorite summer beverage, yellow lemonade! Morgan’s belted yellow and white dress is definitely the most demure of the trio. This cotton sateen number would also work for a bridal shower or brunch with the in-laws. Add a bit of whimsy with bright colorful accessories such as a set of >colorful plastic bangles and a >colorful clutch.
