Black and white pinstripe looks good on just about everyone thanks to its narrow, lean, vertical stripes. And since black is slimming, too, the combination is especially flattering. Pinstripe pants are a tried-and-true favorite and also play into this years’ menswear theme. If you’re going for something distinctly more masculine, consider getting pants that are less fitted with a wider leg.

Pinstripe blouses are great if you’re looking for a slimming effect through the waist. Make sure the shirt is well tailored to your frame, though, otherwise the pattern will just look boxy and it won’t help cinch in your waist!
While normally we would caution against any type of pinstriped shoe there are some adorable patterned shoes that help bring the pinstriped look to an outfit in an understated yet determined way. Leave a rounded mary jane heel just peeking out of the bottom of your trousers (which should definitely NOT be pinstriped!) and you’ll be able to add that unique look without much effort. Of course, your feet likely don’t need slimming, but these shoes are just so fun it’s hard to resist!
