Last week we stopped by designer Kal Rieman's pop up shop that's open in NYC this month, and we were immediately drawn to her eye catching polka dot pieces (the perfect complement to her pops of bright tomato red). We're all about fun pants this spring, so of course we're dying for a pair of these:

The silk pleat pants are both playful and elegant, with a look that is luxe yet relaxed at the same time. Not feeling bold enough for polka dots? They also come in more subdued yet still chic shades of red and cream.

Taking a unique direction for Fall/Winter 2012, Houghton's first collection consists of a light palette of ivories, blushes and whites - a refreshing change from the typical racks of black, grey, and navy. Designed by established NYC stylist and former Badgley Mischka Couture design assistant Katharine Polk, the new luxury line will include long tailored coats, menswear-inspired suits, and hand-beaded statement gowns with a bit of edge. We can't wait to find these amazing silk cashmere and chiffon pieces in stores next fall.

If there's one accessory you're allowed to be truly playful with at all times, it's your umbrella. After all - if you're going out in the rain, you might as well have some fun! These bright options from Australian line Gina & May are the perfect alternative to boring black rain gear, with eye catching graphic prints and color combinations. Founder Gina Pollock launched the line in 2009 with her mother as the solution to her troubles finding an umbrella that was both stylish and durable. Some of our favorites are already sold out, but you can still shop some fabulous umbrella styles online at ginaandmay.com, with prices ranging from about $35 to $65.
