July 2012 Archives

Austin-based Dimovi designer Amanda Dimova grew up around shoes - her parents owned a shoe company and her first job was folding shoe boxes to earn her allowance. Now she uses her inherited skills to create her own collection of comfortable yet stylish footwear. You won't find sky-high heels in this line - it's all about cushiony soles that mold to fit your feet. Dimovi shoes feature natural rubber soles and only ethical leather products, so you can truly feel good about wearing them! For more information on the collection, visit
Melanie Auld's jewelry is a favorite of industry insiders and fashion editors because of her ability to create costume jewelry that is bold but also elegant. Her statement earrings especially caught our eye this season, making us think: how could an outfit be complete without an amazing set of bling? Visit to shop the collection.
We love finding pieces on Etsy that we know will instantly become wardrobe staples - especially because they're usually one of a kind! This gorgeous patent leather clutch is made in London by seller frenchenglish, and it's a must-buy because it will take you all the way through summer and right into fall. How chic would this color be with fall's burgundy hues?

This season, animal motifs are everywhere: on tees, dresses, scarves - you name it! But we especially love this bird print dress by Maeve, available at Anthropologie. The print is colorful and different, yet on a classic silhouette that you can wear to any summer event.

We took a peek at San Francisco-based designer Nikki Garcia's Fall 2012 lookbook for her line First Rite, and we're ready for fall to begin (Well, not quite - a few more beach days, please!). Equestrian-inspired pieces are perfect for the upcoming season, and we need all of the uber chic pant options. Here are a few more shots, you can view the entire lookbook at

The 2012 Summer Olympics are taking over! And not just your TV screen - they're inspiring fashion pieces too. We love the subtle take on the theme by Etsy seller ThePolkadotMagpie. The Olympic Five Gold Rings Necklace ($38) is actually made of brass, but it's a classic that will go with anything.

We love a major pair of statement shoes, and Milan-based designer Max Kibardin certainly has a plethora of them. Siberian-born Kibardin is the creative director of Bruno Magli, and he has worked with Reem Acra, Chado Ralph Rucci and J. Mendel. If his fashionable resume doesn't impress you, then his fancy footwear definitely will. Hot pink spikes, sparkles and feathers make a scene while his more muted but sculptural pumps and ankle boots are also gorgeous.

Find the collection at Saks.

Is the air conditioning in your office on WAY too high? That sleeveless dress you wore this morning isn't feeling so great any more. That's why you need a chic scarf or to for storing at your desk and throwing on when things get chilly. We love Leigh & Luca's stylish prints and luxurious fabrics. Shop scarves online at
corey-lynn-calter-holiday_thumb.jpgCorey Lynn Calter is one of our favorite up and coming designers, so we were excited to take a peek at what's to come from her for the holiday season (even though it's so far away). The dresses and separates are the perfect combination of glitzy sparkles and fun prints. Here are some of our favorites:
