Every time I reach a big milestone in life, there is a list a mile long of things that I wish I had done before the milestone happened. It all started before I graduated college, took my first "real" job, before I got married, before I had my first child, my second child and now my third child. It's one of those things that life just happened while I was planning it. The story of my life...always planning for the next big milestone.

Well with three kids under my watch, what more could one want in life? Oh, there's plenty still left to accomplish and for me, it's going to law school. As much as I love style and fashion and writing about it even more, going to get my law degree is something I've always wanted to do and with my growing family now complete, it's time for me to start marking off all the other goals in my life to make that leap happen.

Watch my kids grow up. It may sound odd but I want to be around while my kids are young to make every single peanut butter and jelly sandwich, band-aid every paper cut, teach them to ride a bike and help them foster their own learning and education paths. While this may seem to be a never-ending task, I assure you that one day they'll be so independent that I'll look around and wonder why it went by so fast. I don't want to miss any of those moments with them.

Travel the world. My husband is lucky because every month he's in a different part of the world. In fact, he's on his way to another exotic locale while I hold down the fort at home. One day I want to be a part of that -- to travel and discover the world and experience other cultures. The goal is to visit all of the continents...yes, even Antarctica!

Write a book. Isn't the Internet amazing?! Did you know that anyone can publish their own e-book on the Internet? This is a new finding of mine and I love writing and I hope to one day write and publish my own novel. I don't care if anyone reads it or buys it but it would be an amazing feat accomplished for me to sit and write the novel that right now only lives in my head.

Cook an entire seven-course meal from scratch. It's no secret among my friends that I'm an awful cook. I'm the queen of semi-homemade. One day I hope to channel my inner Martha Stewart and Julia Child and make a traditional meal that will knock the socks off of my family and friends. Perhaps I'll make a souffle or maybe just a meatloaf followed by homemade bundt cake but it will be a huge step forward towards my next life leap.

So while these "stepping stones" may seem silly, for me, they are very real. Making and setting little goals like these in life will help you achieve your ultimate goal and will make your life leap transition that much easier and closer. Go ahead and take the LEAP this year and start checking off your list...what's your next life leap?

From bumper to bumper, the all-new CR-V is loaded with pretty much everything you need to tackle your Leap List. It's your ultra-versatile adventure partner, and it's built to take you just about anywhere you want to go. Learn more at leaplist.honda.com

Much to the thrill of HUGO BOSS fans everywhere, the Fall/Winter 2012 fashion show streamed live yesterday from Berlin Fashion Week. If you missed it, you can still catch the video on hugoboss.com.

Karlie Kloss opened the show which was presented at Berlin's hallowed "Old Masters Museum," the Gemäldegalerie. The HUGO Mens and Womenswear collections were showcased on a glossy white 400-foot long catwalk by more than 30 top international models, including Kloss, Joan Smalls, Liu Wen and Mathias Lauridsen, to some 800 invited guests.

The show opened with a wearable mix of black, white, and pops of bright purple pieces for men and women, including beautiful streamlined coats, fur vests, slim pants, and pencil skirts. Sleek, minimal, and mostly monochromatic, there was nary a ruffle, print, or pleat in sight. The second half of the show introduced a touch of color in the form of pink, orange and geometric prints.

What this collection excels at is introducing timeless, artfully tailored pieces in silhouettes that are clean and reductive. Modern styles that have been interpreted afresh to create a look that is both minimalistic and luxurious that can easily be incorporated into any well-dressed woman or man's wardrobe.

Packing a star-studded punch, the front row consisted of Julianne Moore, Georgia May Jagger, Sky Ferreira, Pixie Geldoff and Jared Leto (among many others), as well as star blogger Bryanboy who served as a backstage host of sorts. Check out the HUGO BOSS blog for model castings, backstage scoop, red carpet photos, and insider details about the show and more.

Starting October 30, three new designer collections are hitting Target and I stopped by Conde Nast's New York City offices today to chat with the designers and preview all three. Hat designer Milliner Albertus Swanepoel was the first designer I met because he complemented my Alexander Wang bag as I walked in, immediately putting me in a good mood! I asked him why he wasn't wearing a hat and he point out that he doesn't feel like he needs to be "a walking example of my craft," adding that he's usually lugging around fabric and tends to wear hats mostly in the wintertime for functional (over fashionable) purposes. His 14-piece collection (priced under $19.99) includes fedoras, floppy hats and cloches done in a variety of solid colors and prints and finished with details including ribbon, feathers, and sequin. Swanepoel told me that he's been itching to do a collection for Target since they teamed with Proenza Schouler and, on that note, I asked what his favorite piece in his line was. While he immediately picked up one of the faux fur hats, he ended up singling out nearly all of the hats, so it's safe to say that they're all, more or less, Swanepoel's favorites.

Equally excited about her collection for Target was jewelry designer Dana Kellin who nevertheless told me the request to collaborate came from Target's end and seemingly out of the blue. "They just called randomly one day! I thought it was customer service at first, but I guess my name was being tossed around by some of the other designers," Kellin remarked. As for her collection, it ranges in price from $9.99 to $34.99 and includes a variety of earrings and necklaces. The designer explained that she loved that at these prices it's easy for women to buy a few pieces and layer the necklaces. Further, she noted that while the pieces aren't handmade in Los Angeles like her high-end line, each piece stays true to her aesthetic which is often nature-inspired. Aside from nature, the designer was inspired by a recent Haider Ackermann collection for the blue in the range, which she balanced out with some softer blush pieces for, as she stated, "a wearable mix that will suit all skin tones."

The most visibly enthusiastic designer however was Josie Natori. The affable designer exclaimed that she hopes women like her collection enough to buy one of each and then began to proudly show off all of the pieces lining her two racks. Natori's 37 piece range includes bras, panties, robes, knit and woven pants, leggings, camis and chemises priced between $9.99 and $34.99. The pieces will be shipped in two parts - first the holiday collection on the 30th and then a Valentine's Day collection, which will hit on January 1.

Let's hope this just-confirmed collaboration fares better than the recent Missoni disaster (sold out in an hour/Target site crashed for the day/online orders canceled). Expected to be a smaller collection launched without all the Missoni-esque hype, your chances of getting your hands on some lower priced Jason Wu looks promising!

Look for Jason Wu for Target to hit stores on February 5, 2012.
