Julia Roberts and Christy Turlington ads banned in the U.K. for excessive airbrushing

According to nymag.com, Maybelline and Lancome ads featuring Christy Turlington and Julia Roberts have been banned by the U.K.'s Advertising Standards Authority for being overly airbrushed. The ASA states that the images were misleading and that they "could not conclude that the ad image accurately illustrated what effect the product could achieve."

Clearly the images above have been digitally altered to make their skin appear supernaturally flawless. It's too bad that the companies felt that these two beautiful women just weren't quite beautiful enough without excessive Photoshopping.
