Enhance Small Bust
Swimsuit: Island Soul polka dot bikini from Kohl’s Department Stores $56
-
Elana’s “before” suit does nothing to flatter her cleavage the triangles on the top are set too far apart and make her look flat.
-
Instead, we opted for a lightly padded criss cross halter top which helps increase her cleavage and the appearance of her bust size.
-
The ruffled detail and oversized polka dot print also help visually add volume.
-
TIP: avoid tops that are overly padded; light padding and the proper cut give a much more natural appearance.

Support Large Bust
Swimsuit: Solid Tummy Control Hi-neck Keyhole Tank Swimsuit from Lands’ End $62
-
We opted for a basic tank style with a built in underwire bra which smoothes, shapes and supports her bust.
-
In addition to supporting her bust, the suit has a control panel in front that gives you control just where you want it..
-
TIP: Look for one-piece suits that have built-in support like a soft cup bra or underwire. Shelf bras are not supportive enough for large chests. If a built-in bra isn’t available, a halter top is your best bet. Avoid bandeau tops which will slip, slide and sag.

Flatter Pear Shape
Swimsuit: one piece shantung swimdress from Fashion Bug $59.99
-
-
-
To balance out her curves, we chose this glamorous shantung swim dress which has the look of a sexy pinup.
-
-
The skirt helps minimize and conceal hips while the sexy top draws attention upwards and away from her hips.
-
-
The suit has the added bonus of a high Lycra content which slims the figure and hidden briefs that slim hips and thighs.
-
-
TIP: look for skirted bottoms or suits that are darker on the bottom and light on top. Interesting necklines draw the eye up. Avoid halter styles which emphasize a pear shape.

Create Curves on Boyish Figure
Swimsuit: Vitamin A cutout swimsuit from Figleaves.com $189
-
-
-
We added this Vitamin A maillot which has strategically placed cutouts to create the appearance of an hourglass figure.
-
-
TIP: Look for suits that have cutouts, diagonal stripes or shirring to help increase curves. Special details like bows, belts and ruffles also help. Avoid bandeau tops, string bikinis and boy shorts which only emphasize a straight figure.

Slim Midsection
Swimsuit: Brown shirred Miraclesuit one piece from Lane Bryant $132
-
-
-
This Miraclesuit has a special stretch fabric that provides extra support and a noticeably slimmer silhouette.
-
-
Wrapped solid fabric with built-in shelf bra offers added support.
-
-
A sexy V-neckline and shirred wrap appearance adds a sleeker line to visually slim the waist.
-
-
TIP: look for swimsuits with a strong stretch fabric or special tummy panels to suck in your curves. Subtle ruching and gathers helps camouflage lumps and bumps. Avoid large prints and opt for the sleek look of a solid color or strategic color blocking.
